Fiat Invoices

BlockPeer Books is a powerful platform that integrates both digital assets and fiat accounting, allowing businesses to manage their fiat transactions seamlessly. This guide covers how to create, manage, and view fiat invoices and bills.

Steps to Create a Fiat Invoice:

  1. Navigate to:

    • From the BlockPeer Books dashboard, click on Invoices in the main menu.

  2. Invoice Dashboard:

    • The Invoice Dashboard displays a summary of all previously created invoices, including:

      • Issue Date

      • Due Date

      • Total Amount

      • Due Amount

      • Invoice State (Draft or Sent)

  3. Creating a New Invoice:

    • Click the + icon on the top-right corner of the dashboard to create a new invoice.

  4. Fill in the Invoice Details:

    • Prerequisite: Ensure all necessary customer and account details are set up in BlockPeer Books.

    • The steps to create a fiat invoice are:

      • Customer Selection: Choose an existing customer or create a new one.

      • Account Type: Select Fiat as the account type.

      • Billing Type: Choose between item-wise billing or other available billing formats.

      • Issue Date & Due Date: Input the relevant dates.

      • Category: Select or create a category to assign the invoice for accounting purposes.

      • Invoice Number: This field will be auto-populated by the system.

      • Line Items: Add the items or services, their quantity, price, and any applicable discounts.

      • Payment Terms: If needed, enter the payment method (for example, bank transfer details).

  5. Saving the Invoice:

    • Once the invoice is created, you can:

      • Save it as a Draft: If you want to make changes later.

      • Mark it as Sent: If the invoice is ready to be sent to the customer (this will book the revenue in the accounting system).

  6. Managing Created Invoices:

    • After creation, invoices can be:

      • Viewed and Downloaded: Both in PDF format for your records or sending to customers.

      • Tracked: Keep track of their status, payment due dates, and outstanding amounts from the invoice dashboard.
