BlockPeer enables you to easily manage multiple users, assign custom roles, and create additional workspaces for group companies or subsidiaries. This feature enhances collaboration within teams, streamlines role management, and simplifies auditing processes, all within a single platform.
Navigating to User Management
Login to BlockPeer:
After logging in, navigate to the User Management section from the main dashboard.
Access User Settings:
In the main menu, click on User Management and select User to start managing users and their permissions.
Adding Users to Your Workspace
Click on ‘Add New User’:
On the User Management page, click the + Add New User button to invite a new team member.
Enter User Details:
In the Add User form, input the user’s Email Address and select which workspace or company entity they should be added to.
Assign Custom Roles:
BlockPeer allows flexibility in user roles, meaning subscribers can define custom roles based on their organization’s specific needs.
Examples of roles include (not pre-defined):
CFO: Oversees high-level financial strategy and decision-making.
Finance Manager: Manages the accounting team and financial activities.
Senior Accountant: Handles detailed financial reporting and reconciliations.
Accountant: Manages daily transactions, invoices, and bookkeeping.
Auditor: Provides external or internal auditing for financial compliance.
Board Member: Has limited access for reviewing reports and strategic oversight.
You can create a custom role or edit the default role by entering the role name and defining permissions for that role.
External Auditors:
Assigning an external auditor simplifies outsourced bookkeeping and ensures a quicker audit process. Auditors will be able to review the necessary records without needing full access to your system.
Send Invitation:
Once the user’s details and role have been defined, click Send Invitation. The new user will receive an email to set up their BlockPeer account and join your workspace.
Creating Additional Workspaces:
For group companies or multi-entity operations, BlockPeer allows you to create separate workspaces. Navigate to Settings -> Workspaces and click + Add New Workspace to create a new entity.
Multi-Entity License:
Creating additional workspaces requires a Multi-Entity License. If your current subscription does not support this feature, contact BlockPeer support or upgrade your plan.
Switching Between Workspaces:
Once multiple workspaces are set up, you can switch between them using the Workspace Selector in the top navigation bar. Each workspace will have its own independent financial records, ensuring a clear distinction between entities.
Role Management and Permissions
Modifying User Roles:
User roles can be updated at any time. Go to User Management, click on the role, and modify their role or permissions to reflect changes in their responsibilities.
Access Control:
Subscribers can fully customize access control for each role. Define what each user can view or manage, from financial reports to transaction approval rights.
Deactivating Users:
To remove or deactivate a user, click the three dots next to their name and select Deactivate. This will revoke their access while preserving their activity history within the system.
